Maharlika IX (Maharlika Internet Exchange) is a neutral, Filipino-built Internet Exchange Point that serves the Philippines. Our mission is to make interconnection more affordable and accessible, bring content closer to local and underserved networks, and extend the exchange directly to member networks. Guided by the principles of makabayan and makamasa, we are committed to strengthening the nation's internet through better digital access for everyone. Route Servers (AS9420) - RS1: 163.223.201.1 / 2001:df0:a940::9420:1 - RS2: 163.223.201.2 / 2001:df0:a940::9420:2 We operate two independent route servers on separate platforms and software. Members are encouraged to peer with both servers using IPv4 and IPv6. Please note that the previous peering LAN (103.121.64.0/24, 2400:efa0::/64) will remain in service until the announced cut-off date. Routing Security - Operated in accordance with the MANRS actions for Internet Exchanges (IXPs). - RPKI Route Origin Validation: RPKI-invalid routes will be rejected. - IRR Filtering: Based on each member's PeeringDB AS-SET (please ensure yours is current). - Bogon prefixes and bogon ASNs are rejected; per-session max-prefix limits are enforced. - Our route servers are transparent; AS9420 is not inserted into the AS path. BGP Large Communities - 9420:0:<peer-as>: do not announce to <peer-as> - 9420:0:0: do not announce to any peer - 9420:1:<peer-as>: announce to <peer-as> (this can be combined with 9420:0:0) - 9420:1000:x / 9420:1001:x: informational (RPKI / IRR validation state) Registries and Listings - AS9420 and the peering LAN are registered with APNIC. - Our listing can be found in the IXPDB (Internet Exchange Point Database), featuring live member data from our IX-F export.
